Manufacturing Business

The Manufacturing module manages your bills of materials (BOM), work orders, and production tracking.

Home > Manufacturing

Required Plan

Manufacturing is available only on the Business plan.

1. Bill of Materials (BOM)

A bill of materials defines the raw materials and quantities needed to manufacture a finished product.

Home > Manufacturing > BOM

Create a BOM

  1. Click + Add a BOM
  2. Select the item to manufacture (finished product)
  3. In the materials table, add:
    • Each raw material
    • The required quantity
    • The unit of measure
  4. Enter the quantity produced by this BOM
  5. Save and submit

TIP

You can create multi-level BOMs: a raw material can itself have its own BOM (sub-assembly).

2. Work Orders

A work order launches the production of a product from its BOM.

Home > Manufacturing > Work Order

  1. Click + Add a Work Order
  2. Select the item and the BOM
  3. Enter the quantity to produce
  4. Submit to start production

Production flow

Work Order → Material Transfer → Production → Finished Goods Receipt
  1. Material Transfer — Raw materials are moved from the storage warehouse to the workshop
  2. Production — Record the quantities produced
  3. Receipt — The finished product is added to stock

3. Manufacturing reports

  • Production Report — Orders in progress, completed, overdue
  • Material Consumption — Materials used vs. planned
  • Yield Analysis — Quantities produced vs. planned
  1. Inventory
  2. Purchasing
  3. Plans and Pricing
