Point of Sale Professional

The Point of Sale (POS) turns SawaSuite into a cash register for your over-the-counter sales. Ideal for shops, restaurants, and retail businesses.

Required Plan

The Point of Sale is available from the Professional plan.

1. Configuration

Create a POS Profile

  1. Search for POS Profile and click + Add
  2. Fill in:
    • Name — e.g., "Main Register"
    • Warehouse — The warehouse linked to this register
    • Company — Your company
    • Write Off Offline Sales — Check for offline mode
  3. In Payment Methods, add:
    • Cash
    • Mobile Money
    • Credit Card (if applicable)
  4. In Item Groups, select the categories to display on the POS
  5. Save

Open the POS

  1. Search for Point of Sale or click the shortcut in the workspace
  2. Select your POS Profile
  3. An opening entry is created automatically

2. Make a sale

  1. Search for the item by name or scan the barcode
  2. The item is added to the cart — adjust the quantity if needed
  3. Select or create the customer (optional for counter sales)
  4. Click Pay
  5. Select the payment method and enter the amount
  6. Click Submit — the invoice is created and stock is updated

3. Closing the register

At the end of the day:

  1. Click Close POS in the menu
  2. Enter the amounts in the register by payment method
  3. The system calculates the discrepancies between recorded sales and declared amounts
  4. Submit the closing entry

4. POS reports

  • POS Sales Details — All transactions for the day
  • Closing Summary — Totals by payment method, discrepancies
